In today's article, I'll teach you how to acquire your first sale on Redbubble using some simple approaches. Of course, you can use these tricks on any other print-on-demand site, but I'm just using redbubble as an example because a lot of you use redbubble as one of your primary print-on-demand stores, but you can use them on whatever shop you have.
So the techniques I'll be discussing in this article will mainly revolve around social media and how you can use it for free to increase sales on your Redbubble shop.
I decided to make this article because these are some non-obvious or perhaps non-traditional ways to promote your shop through social media, so it's something you can do to set yourself apart. They're all relatively easy and don't require too much effort, so this is a great place to start, even if you're new to social media or have never done any sort of social media promotion before.
Using Tiktok
Let's start with my first technique, which is using TikTok. As many of you know, TikTok is extremely popular these days. It's skyrocketed since the first pandemic, or the first lockdown, whichever comes first, in 2020, and it's only gotten more popular since then. It's a great place for not only regular people to post but also businesses and small businesses.
I've seen so many businesses post TikTok that you wouldn't even realize they're advertisements since they're so natural and blend nicely into your feed, so why can't we as a print-on-demand supplier do the same?
Another reason I like this platform is that it's one of the simplest to become seen on, and even if you don't have a lot of followers or TikTok, your Tiktok may be seen by a large number of people, which can lead to people visiting your rebel store and making a purchase.
If you've never used TikTok before, or if you have and aren't sure how to build an ad for your rentable shop, here are some examples of other businesses that have taken use of it.
In this first tick talk, an artist is painting on camera so you can see their complete thinking process, and they're talking about how they sell their artwork and whatnot, but this is a terrific method to attract people to your profile.
If people enjoy what you're painting or sketching, or if you're a graphic designer and upload your work in progress, they may want to purchase one of your designs, which in our case would be printed on Redbubble or other print on demand sites.
Yes, it's a fantastic method to promote what you're doing and it truly links individuals with buyers.
This girl is simply showing how many orders she had before posting a TikTok that went viral, and this was the TikTok that she uploaded, where she just shared photographs of her prints and people decided that they loved them and wanted to buy them, doubling her sales in one day.

This is yet another excellent method. Simply submit photos of your prints and artwork, and if it is excellent enough to stand on its own, people will buy it.

Yeah, it's a never-ending opportunity with this because you can post as many as you want in a day and you never know which one will go viral, and you don't have to pay for TikTok ads to go viral because you have a good chance of doing it naturally, so I'm not saying you should pay for ads on Tiktok, at least not yet, unless you see that you're doing well and you know how to use Tiktok and then eventually you want to try.
Using Facebook groups
Using Facebook groups So, in the previous couple of years, you might have been thinking about how you might utilize Facebook groups to market or sell your items.
I've seen that the popularity of Facebook Marketplace has increased, and many people are utilizing it instead of Kijiji, Craigslist, or other online marketplaces to sell items.
So, I thought, why not sell your stuff through Facebook and Facebook marketplace groups?
So, for example, you could post one of your items in one of these groups, which I'll teach you how to do in a second, and that simply provides you visibility and maybe people will click on it. I believe one of the greatest times to use Facebook groups or Facebook Marketplace is around the holidays.
So, if it's Christmas, Valentine's Day, New Year's Day, or whatever holiday it is, making items like t-shirts themed on those holidays and then posting links to those t-shirts in Facebook groups is a terrific way to drive traffic to your business and hopefully increase sales.
so some good places you can post on Facebook are like :
- Facebook marketplace
- Facebook buy and sell groups
- Facebook feed
using Pinterest
Okay, so my third and last approach for promoting your store and maybe generating sales is to use Pinterest.
Pinterest has been around for a long time and is growing in popularity. It's a terrific location to sell your items since you can connect your business to all of the photographs you upload.
If you're unfamiliar with Pinterest, it's just a feed of images that they think the user will like based on things that they've interacted with previously, or you can use it as a search engine (SEO) where you can type in things that you're interested in and it'll show you a bunch of results.
The best aspect is that you can make eye-catching images that encourage people to click on them, and once they do, they'll be able to view your link and purchase the goods immediately.
There are a variety of ways to promote your shop on Pinterest, and by promote I mean free marketing or things you're doing, not truly paid ads, which applies to anything.
So one way you could do it is simply upload an actual image of whatever you're selling with the design on it and then link to your redbubble store. That's the most basic and straightforward way to do it since it's just attracting folks who are looking for that exact specific thing.
Another way you can do it that's a little more discreet and might get you more viewers is to make lists or blogs or something like a collage with a bunch of different things on it and one of yours in it. This takes more time, but it's a more natural and organic way to do it that might get you more viewers, so let's go into Pinterest now.
So those are all of the strategies I have for you today on how to market your red bubble store in the hopes of making your first sale or increasing your sales.
If you've already gotten your first one, I'd suggest coming up with some more unusual ideas so you can make the most of your resources and, maybe, get that first sale.
